Wow! Lance Armstrong is absolutely amazing! And the fact that the French hate him so much makes what he’s doing in the Tour that much sweeter.
Unless something major happens, he will win a record 6th consecutive Tour de France this coming Sunday.
Considering his story, what he’s overcome, and the scrutiny he is currently under, makes his accomplishment that much more amazing. Do not forget that he has an incredible supporting cast in his teammates. They are doing a hell of a job protecting him and excelling in the team trials.
Props to you Lance! Well done.

Ok, poker is a fun game, but good grief!! Why in the world the sudden explosion? Every freakin’ channel I turn to there’s a poker game going on. And it may be fun to play, but it ain’t all that exciting to watch.
Here’s the thing that sent me over the edge. These people actually want poker included in the Athens Olympics. You’ve gotta be kidding me! This has to be one of those “Signs that the Apocalypse is near” topics.
How does anyone else feel about this?

So what do you know about Web Standards? How important to you, in your design work are those standards?
Here’s an interesting article at Design by Fire.
It explains why you should care and what the standards will mean in the very close future.

The reasons to NOT use Microsoft’s Internet just keep piling up. In the last few weeks they’ve issued at least 4 patches to critical vulnerabilities with their OS and tightly integrated web browser Internet Explorer.
The vulnerabilities can now be “injected” from web pages…that’s scary folks. Everyone knows not to click on e-mail attachments that have come from unknown sources, but now you can be redirected to an infected web site and these keystroke stealing trojans can be downloaded to your computer without you even knowing about it. Read here.

Well, the teams have been selected, except for the Final Vote where the internet community has a say in the last roster spot.
What are your feelings about the lineup possibilities, who shouldn’t have made it, and who got left off.
The Beltran situation blows my mind, but I don’t know that there is an easy solution.
And what about the outfield of 500+ HR hitters…amazing!

In my opinion, we Americans don’t realize just how good we have it so today, please just take a minute and be thankful for living in the greatest country in the world…and if you don’t think that’s true–get the hell out!

The newest version of the best browser out there, in my opinion.
Firefox 0.9 is released to the public.
Read a review here.
Seriously folks, give this one a try. You’ll leave the buggy, standards non-compliant Internet Exploder in the dust.

So, all you Laker lovers or anyone not giving the Pistons a snowball’s chance in hell of winning the title, did Game #1 change your mind?
Don’t underestimate the East! That “boring” brand of basketball is what shut you down…it’s called DEFENSE.
Now, I know you’ve never seen anything quite like it before. Hell, the Dallas Mavericks have no idea what it is or how to spell it. And Mark Cuban can’t even buy it, it’s that special.
The Lakers may still win, but you gotta give the Pistons and Larry Brown props for not folding under the overwhelming odds.

As you know, Ronald Reagan passed away a few days ago. Whether you think he did a good job as President or not, you have to admit he was a great American. He embodied the American spirit, in my opinion.
RIP, Mr. Reagan.

Wow…so much has happened in the world since my last post:
– Nick Berg : absolutely sickening, but these are the people we are dealing with. Then again, I’m not very proud of our guys humiliating the Iraqi prisoners either. War is just an ugly SOB.
– NBA playoffs : Go Minnesota in the West and Indiana in the East!
– Gas prices : Wow! As an American, I know I have it good so I’m not going to get all pompous and whiny BUT – someone is making a bundle off me…would it kill you guys (Chevron) to fill the damn receipt dispenser with paper? For crying out loud!!
– Friends and Frasier : man, I’m missing those shows already too! Thank goodness for syndication!
– Shrek 2 : excellent flick!
Let’s have some discussions…
