Here’s wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year!
What are your resolutions for the New Year?
Happy Holidays everyone.
Hope Santa was good to you all. I was lucky enough to get a 4GB iPod Nano from my wife! More on that later, but what an awesome piece of technology!
A lot has been going on lately. Sorry for the leave of absence.
Well, let’s see…
– The Spurs did it, congrats.
– The Yankees are tanking and we aren’t to the All-Star break yet.
– It’s DAMN hot in Dallas.
– I’m strongly considering becoming a coffee drinker.
– Attack of the Show sucks without Kevin Rose.
Lots of bummers lately. What I once thought (and recently purchased) to be one of the coolest inventions known, the Ionic Breeze by Sharper Image has come under scrutiny by Consumer Reports.
Sharper Image has come back with a rebuttal but ultimately it’s up to the consumer to decide.
I’ve always considered Consumer Reports to be pretty square with the consumers and now who do you trust when it comes to the health of you and your family?
Seems that all my favorite companies are getting bought out these days, and to continue the trend, Macromedia was bought out by Adobe.
Great move at a steal of a price if you’re Adobe, but if you’re Macromedia, why in the world would you want this other than the share exchange and PhotoShop? I just don’t get it?!?! And from what little I know, there weren’t any indications that MM was even on the selling block. WTF??
I’m sure TiVo will be next…
Well I have a lot of things I want to comment on:
The Pope: RIP Pontiff. It was painful seeing his last few days when all he really wanted to do was to die in peace.
Peter Jennings: good luck in your battle.
Bo on Steroids: Crazy-talk! This dude was one of the baddest men to ever walk the earth. Pure athlete who didn’t need anything to enhance his performance.
Gmail rocks: and they just increased space to 2+GB
Michael Jackson: one messed up SOB!
Picked up my DVD set yesterday!! Later I’ll go into more detail, but I was such a huge fan of this series and so terribly crushed when it got cancelled. The USA network picked it up for awhile, but not too long. Then they did 2 special episodes to try to tie everything up, but those, in my opinion, fell short of satisfying.
The packaging looks cheesy and there aren’t many special features, but they managed to fit 21 episodes onto 4 DVD’s!!
Well, this year, I have not seen ANY of the Best Picture nominees.
Million Dollar Baby won, but do you agree with it?
Just spell my name right!!
This is the third database I’ve come across lately that cannot accommodate a second capital letter in a name. For instance, Ronald McDonald comes out as Ronald Mcdonald.
I don’t know about anyone who has such a name, but it drives me CRAZY to see my name spelled wrong!!!
I’ve spoken to two of the companies who explained that their database simply cannot make the distinction and being a computer guy, I can kinda see that, but geez, I don’t think it would be THAT difficult to fix and it seems respectful of your clients to make the correction.
Am I blowing this out of proportion or does this tick anyone else off?
