Winter Olympics
Wow! The Olympics have come and gone so quickly! I thought Torino did a great job of hosting the games…kudos Torino!
Is there a more exciting event than short track speed skating??

I said it…Texas would shock the world! They were really not getting any respect and WOW, Vince Young was simply awesome!
Congratulations Texas Longhorns…well done.
I don’t hate many teams, other than Michigan, but USC makes it so easy to hate them. Did anyone hear Matt Leinart’s comments after the game about how “We (USC) were the better team…”
What an ASS!!
Three years in a row to the Fiesta Bowl and Three wins!!
Great season Bucks! Congratulations to the team and to all the fellow Buckeyes out there! Considering they really should have won the Texas game, that would have really made for an interesting year, because Texas is going to win the National Championship on 1/4…mark my words.
Oh, and Maurice Clarett is in trouble again….and nobody is surprised.
Wow! What a great WS to watch. Incredible games. Some would argue that a few breaks here and there and the Astros could have swept the White Sox. Hell if it weren’t for Mr. Lidge that really could have happened! What’s going through that dude’s head right about now? I feel sorry for him.
Baseball, I will miss you old friend! So until pitchers and catchers report in February, I bid you adieu.
Now let’s see what kind of deals happen in the off season!!
The MLB Playoffs are upon us…my thoughts:
– Boston sucks
– Yankees are overpaid, but played well to get in
– Houston : where would they be without Yankee bailers (Clemens, Pettitte)
– Atlanta: amazing accomplishment winning your division yet again…now do something in the playoffs
– San Diego: no chance
– St. Louis: solid from top to bottom
– Chicago White Sox: could be their year
– LA Angels: steady and a scary team to face in the first round.
Terrell Owens – I already expressed my views back in June. Dude makes me SICK and I’m tired of hearing about it.
Rafael Palmeiro – Big fat Viagra popping liar! And the MLB steriod policy is an absolute joke!
Big Ups to Lance Armstrong! Not only for winning his incredible 7th consecutive Tour de France, but for being an inspiration to millions and, in my opinion, single-handedly keeping the world interested in bike racing.
I’ve gotta be honest…other than an occasional Greg LeMond glance, I knew very little about the Tour before Lance Armstrong. Now that he is retiring, it will be interesting how many people, other than the true fans, are really interested about the race next year, especially Americans.
What Mr. Armstrong has done is absolutely amazing and as the years go by, I have a feeling it will become even more amazing. Congratulations for being able to go out on top of your sport, as you deserve. Much respect!
We all know that Terrell Owens is a good football player. But, he is also a whiny, egotistic asshole…IMHO.
His latest tantrum is something that pisses me off about major sports in general.
If you negotiate a contract, it’s binding until the end of the contract, end of story. So what if you had a good year! That gives you absolutely NO right to hold out and demand more money.
And it’s real easy to justify this point…how many of you will give back money when you have a sucky year?
Just one of the MANY things that are wrong with major sports and the egos playing them…but don’t get me started.
Finally….my Sixers got a win against Detroit!!
I really think Denver could upset the Spurs out West.
And take that Kobe…you are NOTHING without Shaq.
Who do you think is going to win the NBA championship?
The Yankees season opener just so happened to be against arch rival Boston yesterday and the Yankees really spanked them, behind a great performance by Randy Johnson.
I’ve given the Red Sox their props, but it’s back to business and I have to say…pay backs for last year’s ending in the ALCS.
