I’m very thankful for family, friends and the good health we all have. Also very thankful for the beating MIAMI put on DALLAS on THANKSGIVING day. That last part was put in there for that special someone that I hope reads it since he is a DALLAS fan for some reason. Have been trying to get him to convert over to MIAMI for 20 years or so now. 🙂

Yeah, it was very embarrassing to lose to someone who lost to Houston.

If I recall right didn’t DALLAS lose to them in their FIRST game of their FIRST SEASON in the league????

That is correct. However, Dallas sucked that year anyway. Miami is supposed to be such a powerhouse…didn’t want to go here but you’re gonna make me pull out some stats.

Lets look at Miami’s wins and the records of the opponents:
    Atlanta (2-10)
    New Orleans (6-6)
    NY Jets (5-7)
    Buffalo (5-7)
    NY Giants (4-8)
    Jacksonville (3-9)
    San Diego (2-10)
    Baltimore (7-5)
    Washington (4-8)
    Dallas (8-4)

    And now the losses:
    Tampa Bay (5-7)
    Jacksonville (3-9)
    Houston (5-7)
    New England (10-2)
    Indianapolis (9-3)
    Tennessee (9-3)

So a few observations about these…
    – Miami has only beaten 2 teams with a record of over .500
    – They don’t do well against mediocre teams
    – They certainly can’t beat the good teams.

So, again Miami will back into the playoffs and get embarrassed when they finally face a decent team.

I will be the first to admit the Cowboys are over-achieving this year. What that does is set expectations higher than they should be, just based on record. On paper, Miami SHOULD have beaten Dallas this year. So if Miami fans want to gloat over a game they should have won, and actually DID win, so be it. With games against New England, Philadelphia and their annual collapse to the Jets coming up, better get your gloating in now…that may be the last win you get this season.

Oh man not the stats. Since we are bringing in stats lets check these out for all you COWBOY fans that think the BOYS ARE BACK this year. 8-4 correct, but lets check out their wins and losses also since we are talking about that.

    Here are their wins:

    NY Giants 35-32 (4-8)

    NY Jets 17-6 (5-7)

    Arizona 24-7 (3-9)

Philadelphia 23-21 (9-3 were 2-2 at the time)

    Detroit 38-7 (4-8)

    Washington Win 21-14 (4-8)

    Buffalo Win 10-6 (5-7)

Carolina Win 24-20 (8-4) only respectable win

    And now for their loses.

Atlanta Loss 27-13 (2-10) (lost to the Vickless Falcons??)

Tampa Bay Loss 16-0 (5-7) ( lost to a team that dont know which way is to their own goal line this year)

    New England Loss 12-0 (10-2)

    Nov. 27 Miami Loss 40-21 (8-4)

SO YES THE BOYS ARE BACK SO KEEP BELIEVING!!!!

Exactly!! Thank you for making my point even clearer. Parcells keeps saying it himself…”we aren’t as good as our record indicates.”

So, if Miami Fan wants to brag about beating the Cowboys then that truly indicates that they don’t have much else to brag about.

    Thanks for clearing that up.

Not really braggin’ just rubbing it in since pretty much everyone I know loves the BOYS. I would have never heard the end of it if Dallas would have won so just making sure I get my time of glory in. By the way on another topic.. GO LSU!!

NO BRAGGIN AFTER THIS WEEKENDS PERFORMANCE FROM THE FINS! IF WE ARE GOING TO PLAY LIKE THAT NO NEED TO GO TO THE PLAYOFFS!

The Cowboys appear to have come to grips with reality as well…8-5 after starting off 5-1.

Congrats to Ed on his prophet-like prediction…and I quote: “THE BOYS ARE BACK”.

He meant, back in the playoffs.

And to take another quote from nfl.com: “Arizona, Atlanta, Buffalo, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Houston, Jacksonville, Miami, New Orleans, N.Y. Giants, N.Y. Jets, Oakland, Pittsburgh, San Diego, San Francisco, Tampa Bay and Washington have been eliminated from playoff contention. “

All you had to say man was MIAMI didn’t make it in. No need to list all those other teams. Dallas is in, but they will be out come either Sat. or Sun. whenever it is they play. They look ready for the playoffs after this last game so it should be fun. 🙂 Still can’t believe we are 10-6 and don’t make the playoffs. Maybe we need to switch over to the NFC since 10-6 gets in there.
